This trowel was mounted for presentation to a fire officer who specialised in fire investigation. A trowel was dismantled, had steel pins welded to the back prior to chrome plating and mounting on a wooden board.
 
Virtually any object may be mounted to serve as a presentation piece. In this example a trowel has been chrome plated and mounted as a retirement present.
